Apex was delighted to work with developer Brunel Homes to design and secure planning for two detached dwellings in Little Rissington. The site, which included a wildflower meadow and orchard, allowed us to create an exciting blend of architecture that would merge seamlessly with the village’s Cotswold charm.
The first dwelling, designed in a traditional cottage style, seamlessly integrates with the village’s attractive aesthetics. The second dwelling adopts a more contemporary barn-inspired design. Both houses represent a thoughtful approach to village development and stand as testaments to modern design sensibilities while paying homage to the timeless appeal of their surroundings.
The interior layouts of these homes are tailored to meet the demands of contemporary living. Spacious open-plan kitchens, dining, and family areas form the heart of these dwellings, fostering a sense of connectivity and togetherness. Additionally, features such as ground-floor studies/home offices and utility rooms enhance functionality, catering to the practical needs of modern families.
Upstairs, the design prioritises comfort and luxury, with four well-appointed bedrooms, including a master suite boasting a sizable ensuite and dressing room. Two of the remaining bedrooms feature ensuite facilities, while a generously sized family bathroom ensures convenience for all residents.
Furthermore, equipped with energy-efficient technologies, the homes are designed to minimise their environmental footprint while offering residents a comfortable and eco-conscious lifestyle.
This project not only delivered new homes but also embodied a vision for thoughtful and sustainable village development where modernity and tradition coexist in perfect harmony.
